Trials
I have substantial trial experience before both juries and judges. Among the hundreds of cases I have handled, I have tried cases involving serious charges of violence and property crimes.
Examples of trials include: DUI, drug possession, distribution, conspiracy, burglary, robbery, firearm possession, battery, assault, battery, and more. I have tried complex cases of tax fraud, international money laundering, shaken baby, rape, and murder.
Appeals
My appellate practice includes the Utah Supreme Court, Utah Court of Appeals, Wyoming Supreme Court, Federal Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. I am a member of the CJA Appellate Panel for the Tenth Circuit.
